Welcome back to the Southwest Reunion site with new updates to the planning of our 60th reunion!

Two locations have been secured for the weekend of Oct 9 & Oct 10, 2026

Friday evening's event will be held at the home of classmate Mike Rainen and his wife Kathy located at 1901 West 55th, Mission Hills, Kansas.  The tradition continues with the Rainens opening their home for a casual gathering with a light dinner and drinks--start time 5PM. This is always a fun evening.  Parking can be difficult so Uber and Lyft are encouraged.

Saturday will also be on familiar turf at the former YMCA address across from Southwest (now HJ's Youth Center) at 64th & Wornall Road.  The original  building is gone but the replacement is a great improvement.  This event will feature a BBQ dinner along with beer, wine and soft drinks and will be from 5-8:30. Free parking on site as well as across Wornall in the St Andrew's church lot.

Tickets at $60 per person per night. Please mail checks indicating Friday OR Saturday or both. Mail checks to Betsy Cox Cropley

Plaza hotels are numerous and are by far the most convenient to the two venues. Of course VRBO or AirBnB may be an option

Miss Penny Deets passed away. She was the coach and girls physical education teacher at Southwest High.
