Dick and I were neighbors in grade school. We also went to the same country club pool on the weekends. He was a natural on the diving board, whereas I was a clumsy idiot. Always the gentleman at any age.

Fond memories. Rest in peace, Dick.

I am so sorry to hear of Dick passing. He was a very accomplished person and always friendly to those who knew him and those who he only knew in class.....may those who knew him and loved him be comforted of the memories of his life.

Fondly,

This news knocks me back.  I wrote something to him through this website back in 2016 and he not only responded but made a point of looking me up later when he came out here to visit his sisiter in Dec., 2017.  We spent several hours catching each other up on the many years that had passed since our salad days.  It reminded me that not only that he had one of the sharpest and driest wits I've known but he was every bit the gentleman and all-round decent guy he was in high school.  It was just a month or so ago that it occurred to me out of nowhere that I needed to contact him to find out when he might be coming this way again.  Knowing now that will not happen makes that visit in 2017 all the more valuable to me.  He's one of those people about whom we can say, "we shall not soon see his like again."

So sorry to hear that Dick Voss passed away - he was such a truly good guy with a

great sense of humor.   And while I didn’t know him all that well, I do remember him

as being well liked and respected!

My sympathies to his family.

Dick came to Ashland,Oregon in December 2017 to visit his sister. John Wilkinson and I shared 2 meals at his sister's home and then at a local favorite tavern. He was so vibrant. What a great guy... He left too soon!
