I bet nobody remembers this one: In 8th grade our home rooms had a contest to nominate and elect a Safety Queen. Well, Barton and I and other all male students had home room in our drafting class. We nominated Barton, did a bunch of clever stuff for the contest, and our nominee, Barton, slide rule on his belt, was the winner. He had a geat sense of humor about this, and I will never forget him for that.

A very smart guy. The first person I ever heard discuss computer tech! We were in the seventh grade!
Meredith Vincent (Porter)
Does anyone know what happened to Barton? What a smart guy. If he'd have been 20 years younger, he would have been running some high tech company!

I believe Barton moved to the Chicago area and passed away in 2006 from complications of diabetes, among other things.
He was, indeed, VERY intelligent and had quite the sense of humor.
