Sam & I used to run into each other at Ranchmart Shopping Center when I owned my store Rose Paper and he worked at the center. We'd reminisce about Southwest and the people we knew or ran into at the center. And he always made me laugh!! Sad to see a great guy gone. We all will remember him!!

What a loss...remember some of the performances on stage...his leadership is maybe what I remember the most...will be missed.

Sam was the kind of guy to step up and help out when he was needed. He was a great help getting "Mouse That Roared" going. I only knew him at Southwest, but I am glad he was my friend.

I recall Sam as one of the most notable, friendly, and mature student leaders in our class. Even not having maintained contact after graduation, I feel so saddened by his passing.

Sam and I were playmates even before reaching school age. I have lost a lifelong friend.

Sam was one of our best SW classmates. He was a leader and all-around "prince of a fellow." I think of our class often, and maybe everyone everywhere thinks this, but what a special group, the class of '66, and how we gave each other a good start for the rest of our lives.

Thanks Howie for your heartfelt summary of our great Class of 1966 and how our shared experiences at Southwest helped shape us for the rest of our lives. Sam was an important part of those years and he will be missed.

I was so saddened hearing about Sam's passing.  I always remember him with a smile.  We went to Bingham as well as Southwest together.  Shared many a class with him.  He was a good person.  A true leader for our class.  The reunions that he helped put on were wonderful events.  Didn't make it to all of them but the last few were outstanding.  Was hoping that we would have another on in 2026 or sooner.  Lost track of him and many others when I went away to college and then moved out here to Southern CA.  He will be missed.

Sorry to hear about Sam.  We dated during our senior year.  I had heard about his sons.  Did not know Barbara had passed.  Very sad!

Thanks, Sam, for always being kind. You were magnanimous, warm to everyone; and I find that irresistible. Love to you and your family.
