Bob Brown was winning; he had guts. I remember when he tried out for the Revels with a striptease number (well, he didn't actually strip). It was absolutely great; but, of course, those were more conservative times.

Bob was candid, sharp-witted, and real. I enjoyed his perceptiveness and his willingness to engage.

Bob was a great friend...and an AWESOME Class Prez! Remember how he sounded alot like actor Jimmy Stewart? I stopped in KC on my way from Maine to Arizona in the early 90's and had a wonderful visit with Bob. Soon thereafter, I learned from Hazel, his WONDERFUL grandma, that he had choked while dining on a piece of meat and died. So sad to lose a friend so young.

Bob was fun to be around. I enjoyed knowing him very much, and I am saddened to hear of his passing. Thank you for your postings about Bob Brown.

Bob walked into a room and before long everyone was smiling.  Always enjoyed being around him

Yes he died too early.

As I just wrote to Alan McLaughlin ~ I recall asking Bob to the senior year Sadie Hawkins dance.  I was so shy then and had to work up my nerve before phoning.  Bob's warm humor and openness put me at ease instantly, and I never had better company on a date in my life.  What a GREAT receptive personality and intellect Bob posessed.  I'm so sad to hear of his death.  He did, as Alan recalled, of course, sound exactly like Jimmy Stewart, and displayed all the charm and more. Mine are greatly fond memories of this man.
